Community Farming Cooperative

AIM: The aim of this topic is to coordinate the community in establishing shared agricultural distributed small scale farm solutions. This will provide a resilliant source of foods for the community when food shortages occur.

Checklist of Steps

  • Step 1: Download and Read the Freedom Community Foundations attachment
  • Step 2: Download the Contact Template
  • Step 3: Fill out the Contact Template List with all local community member’s details
  • Step 4: If the community group is a large group of 20+ members, review the groups in terms of location and create smaller cell groups based on close proximity to each other. Ideally a group should cover a 3km circle on the map so it’s easy walking distance.
  • Step 5: Print and share the contacts list in person (Keep it physical – don’t email or share publicly)
  • Step 6: When new members join, capture their details straight away and assign them to a new Cell group
  • Step 7: Remember to revisit the list every few months to make sure it’s kept up to date
